Academics

Here at Grow Smart Children’s Academy, our academic curriculum is tailored for young learners, and involves teaching basic pre-kindergarten readiness skills, such as ABC’s, Phonics, Colors, Numbers, Shapes, Days of the Week, and Months of the Year. It also consists of learning in context through different monthly themes, including All About Me, Cultures Around The World, My Family, Community Helpers, The Solar System, and more while still leaving room for plenty of individual expression and exploration during free, unstructured play.

Our primary principle is to encourage student participation in age-appropriate learning activities provided through the following:

• Fine & Gross-Motor Skills
• Dramatic & Home-living Play

Extra-curricular activities
In addition to our academic curriculum, we also work with small businesses in the area to offer fun and interactive activities that will boost your child’s self-esteem as well as promote team-building, mindfulness, problem-solving, and a healthy lifestyle overall. These activities are offered once a week at an additional cost.

Grow Smart Children’s Academy also offers additional fun throughout the year with field trips to the San Diego Zoo, Birch Aquarium, Balboa Park museums, and Farms along with many year-round celebrations to promote positive interactions among our staff, children, and families.
